You're Solving the Same Problem Again
That's usually not a people problem. It's a missing system.
Have you ever caught yourself solving the exact same problem for the third...or tenth...time?
I have. Way to many times.
For too long, I thought that was just part of owning a business.
It isn’t. It’s usually a missing system.
One of the biggest mindset shifts I’ve made over the past 15 years of buying, building, and selling service businesses is this:
Every recurring problem deserves a process.
If an employee keeps asking the same question... If customers keep experiencing the same issue... If you keep stepping in to save the day...
Your business isn’t asking you to work harder.
It’s asking you to build a process that meets your businesses needs. It is begging for its leader to see the need and fill the gap.
The goal isn’t to become better at solving recurring problems.
The goal is to stop having to solve them in the first place.
